Frantale: Prologue

Once upon a time long long ago monsters and humans lived in perfect harmony. Monsters shared homes with humans, humans broke bread with monsters at feasting time. Some even married one another, the magic both sides possessed grew only stronger when shared together. At that time monsters lived both above and below ground in Mt. Ebbot, the monsters answered to their benevolent King and Queen. The king and queen had three wonderful friends and three beautiful children two humans and one monster, their first friend was a skeleton Alchemist/Wizard. He made wonderful things out of his magic and science, he had three children two grown up sons and a tiny daughter. The last two were wolf couple and leaders of the Royal guard, they had two sons one adult son and one young pup.

The five children were the best of friends, playing together, eating butterscotch cinnamon pies, solving puzzles and playing games. Each child possessed a power that far exceeded their parents and older siblings, they shared this power together. It was a power that gave both humans and monsters their strength, this power was called...

Determination

The lives of both monsters and humans was grand...until one faithful day, a human appeared and began to kill both monsters and humans to steal their magic. He deeply hated the happiness the two shared, but when the king stepped forth to stop him the evil man used a spell to seal all the monsters in the underground. Some humans were even sealed inside, the man said there was only one way to break the barrier and that was for a monster to kill a human and spill their blood on the barrier. He knew no monster would dare kill a human, it was not in their nature.

But the man found his powers were drained when he made the barrier he needed more power, so he devised a way to get more by stealing the five children who contained the most power. Using what was left of his magic casted a curse on them changing three of them to humans and altering their memories to try and forget their families. He then took them away to a horrible place where they are held captive to this day...

"Wow Lane that's a good story!" Said the white haired boy

"It's a bit sad, do you think they'll ever be free?" Said the brown haired boy.

"If I were those kids I'd kill the evil man." Said the brown haired girl.

"That's your answer to everything Chara, I would have put up a fight but still.." Said the grey haired boy, all five little ones sat on the same bed under the moon as a yellow haired girl spoke to them.

"Perhaps one day they'll escape and break the spell..right now let's get some sleep." Said the yellow haired girl.

The five children all curled up together under the light of the moon, all dreamed a dream of the story that was spoken to them. All wishing to escape the prison they were in...all wishing they had the power described in the story...they wish...they were home again.
