Undertale: Six bones...one sister.

The house was so quiet without Sans and Papyrus, there was no clanging of pots in the kitchen, no smell of spaghetti, no Nyhehe's, no puzzles, no snoring, no puns, no trombone practicing, no half eaten bags of chips, not even a bottle of ketchup. Nothing...just an empty house with only one inhabitant in it. The only one in the house wandered from room to room wondering where they were...the figure was small, she clutched her stuffed dog plush toy and called out the names of those who lived there....

No one answered....no one came....

There was a knock at the door, she rushed to it maybe it was them it had to be them! She threw open the door a smile as big as the moon on her face, sadly faded fast seeing it was not who she thought it was. Undyne stood there with a solemn look but she still smiled at her.

"Hey pipsqueak....came'ta check on you...see if you were ok."

"....where's Papyrus...where's Sans...." Her voice was soft and hollow, Undyne stared at her for a moment and knelt down to her.

"They're....still at the Lab, don't worry about them right now tell me how you're doing." Undyne tried to steer the questions away from the skeleton brothers, by any means necessary.

"Come on what have you been doing, you doing ok in school, you keeping up with your rounds?" Lane looked down at her feet, she said nothing. Undyne sighed hard and gathered her up into one arm.

"Let's head to my place, can't leave you here."

"...I'm staying here....I'm gonna stay here till they come back..they're coming back..I know they are." Her voice was monotoned, the white dots in her eyes gone.

Undyne hated that, when Sans did that it always creeped her out but when Lane did it...she never looked directly at you when she did it she looked away. It didn't look creepy it looked....sad...as if when she did that you were looking right into her feelings. Undyne sighed again, she knew Lane wasn't gonna fight to stay so with that she started for Waterfall.

She couldn't tell her...how could she...her brothers.....when she would look at Alphy it wasn't a look that said "Where's my family you bumbling scientist?!" like what the other monsters stares would say, her's was more softer that spoke "Please tell me soon, I know your only doing your best." It was that look that made you feel sad yet determined at the same time. It was a short walk, when the got there Alphy was making some golden flower tea.

"Hey there Alphy, I got the pipsqueak." Alphyus turned, Lane's eyes remaining black sunken circles in her skull.

"H-Hello Laney it's good to see you!" Alphyus tried to put on a happy smile for her, Lane blinked and looked at her and smiled....the smile being forced on her face.

"I m-made some tea for us to drink, w-why not sit down and have some?" Offered Alphy, Lane nodded and was placed in a chair a cup handed to her.

Lane gripped the cup with both hands dropping her stuffed animal friend on the floor, tilting the cup she sipped her drink slowly and quietly. Alphyus rubbed her hands nervously watching the small skeleton girl, when the cup was placed back on the table she spoke up.

"Since...we're all here together...do you think we could have a sleep over here tonight just the three of us?"

Undyne and Alphyus stared in shock at the sudden question, they were expecting her to ask about her brothers yet instead she asked to have a sleep over. Sparing a glance at one another they nodded to one another and smiled thinking maybe Lane was trying to distract herself from the thought of her brothers absences.

"Sure pipsqueak whatever you want tonight!" Said Undyne with her classic smile, Alphy smiled in agreement.

Lane smiled back, she excused herself to head back home to get something, she returned with a backpack filled with things, a bag of hot dogs, some ketchup, lemon syrup, her pajamas and other things. Most of the night was playing games, watching anime, Alphy dressing Lane's ecto-hair up, Undyne teaching Lane how to cook spaghetti and so on.

Soon everyone was in bed and asleep, Alphy and Undyne shared a bed while Lane took the couch....but Lane wasn't asleep. Slowly sitting up she went to her bag and pulled out a flashlight, she slowly walked into Undyne's room where the two were sleeping. Going up to Alphyus first she leaned over...and gently kissed the side of her head, she walked back around to Undyne's side and gave her the same.

She crept out of the house with her bag and dog plush in hand quietly and carefully, when outside she made her way to Alphy's home. The door was unlocked, walking in she started looking around the lab for any sign of her brothers. She looked all over till she finally came across a door on one side of the room next to the escalator, it opened...Lane stepped inside.

It was an elevator, Lane shined her flashlight on the buttons and pressed for the bottom floor. The door closed and the elevator made its decent down into the depths below, Lane clutched her dog doll tightly. She reached the bottom, when the door opened a blast of cold wind hit her. She shivered making her bones rattle a bit, it was a little dark but not entirely. From what little light there was it felt like she was walking into a hospital rather then a laboratory.

Lane wandered around the abandoned area before she heard a strange sound...it sounded like a static like ring, she slowly turned to see...a monster...melted together. She backed away scared, she managed to escape from it and run to another room. She encountered another mashed up monster that smelled like sweet lemons. From room to room she ran running into monsters all melted and deformed. A large dog with a hole for a face, a monster that looked like Snowdrake, another that looked like a bird with a giant eye, Lane finally collapsed in a room where beds were lined up. She panted hard as she curled up by a bed, she shook..her mind raced.

The Amalgamate's filter into the room, Memory head, Lemon bread, Endogeny, all of them filtered into the room converging on her. One approached her slowly, as if sad...she reached out to Lane and touched her cheek bone.

"I......rem...ember.....y....ou......yo...u...fr...ien...ds...Sn.....ow.....y..." Said the sad and cold amalgamate.

Lane looked up...she recognized her now, it was Snowdrakes mother, she held herself as Lemon bread spoke to her as if taunting her.

"You scared little one?" It's many voices echoing, Lane twitched and curled up...she held herself tightly before she threw her head back and let out a scream.

The scream echoed in the abandoned laboratory, the tone of the scream held no weight of fear...but deep, dark despair. She screamed more and cried, yellow globes of tears fell from her eye sockets as she pounded the floor with both hands, the Amalgamate's backed up. She kept it up before turning her head back up to scream one more into what she felt was a void.

"SANSY! PAPPY WHERE ARE YOU?!!?" She finally curled up and cried, she cried and cried and cried.

Slowly...slowly...one last amalgamate entered the room, it dropped down and picked up the plush Lane threw in her fit. It knelt down in front of her, she looked up to be greeted with two melted...yet familiar faces. One face its smile frozen in place, it's eye sockets curved in a sad expression. The other one the same yet it's smile was slowly forming as it tried to speak to her..they both spoke.

"Lane...Lane...itssss ok...big...brother...Pappy....Sansy...here..."

[Twenty minutes later]

"No no no no no no!" Alphyus ran inside her lab with Undyne both frantic when they found Lane was missing, both running to the elevator and down into the abandoned laboratory.

"Why didn't I see it...it was so obvious!" Undyne cursed to herself, Lane tricked them get them in one place leaving the lab unguarded, she had to admit that kid was cleaver.

The two ran around searching each room for any sign of Lane, they found her bag but it was empty, next to it was her flashlight. Alphy grew scared they entered one last room....there they found her. Sans and Papyrus cradling her like a newborn infant close to them, dripping on her a bit. She was curled up into him sucking on her thumb bone hugging her little plush dog, Papyrus and Sans looked up at Alphy and Undyne. With Papyrus's hand he motioned them to stay quiet, he then warped his arm back around her...she smiled nuzzling into them.

She was happy....she had her brothers back.....they were there with her....Six bones...and its one...baby bones sister.
